When will Crysis be released? Here’s the Crysis game timeline, as well as the proper order in which to play them.

Crysis games are among the best first-person shooter games released in the past 15 years in the video game industry. They managed to hold a special place in our hearts by combining the elements of a solid action shooter with an immersive atmosphere. We will be able to put on the nanosuit once more, 8 years after the last main entry was released. As the Remastered Trilogy approaches its release date, you may want to re-enlist in the Raptor Team, which includes Psycho, Aztec, Prophet, and, of course, Nomad.

That’s why we have come up with a quick intro of the games without giving any spoilers. Here’s the setting of the successful FPS titles and Crysis timeline.

When does Crysis take place?

Crysis is the first main entry in the series, and it takes place in 2020 on the Lingshan Islands. On August 14th, 2020, the players assume the role of a member of the Raptor Team, which is deployed on the Lingshan archipelago.

The entire mission on the island takes about four days. The midquel game Crysis Warhead is set at the same time as the first game as well.

What year does Crysis 2 take place?

The sequel to the franchise’s first main game and standalone expansion, Warhead, picks up where the first game left off. Unlike its predecessors, however, Crysis 2 transports players to an urban setting, bringing the battle against aliens to Manhattan, New York City.

The year 2023 is depicted in Crysis 2. On August 23rd, 2023, Alcatraz and his squad are deployed on the Hudson River.

Crysis 3 is the final installment in the series, and it invites players to take one last look at the suit. The game takes place in 2047 and depicts the aftermath of humanity’s war with the Ceph aliens.

About the Remastered Trilogy

Crytek was hard at work, with the help of Saber Interactive, to bring us the action we had been missing for a long time. The Crysis Remastered Trilogy, which includes enhanced and improved versions of the three games in the series, will be released soon. Crytek, on the other hand, released a remastered version of the first game on September 18th, 2020. As a result, the new trilogy will include remastered versions of the trilogy’s second and third main entries.

On the other hand, it’s very likely that Crysis Warhead will not be included in the upcoming trilogy. When the remastered version of the first game was released, fans expected to see an enhanced version of Warhead. The remastered version did not include the midquel and did not include a mission from the original game. Following the launch, the developer updated the remastered edition, adding the mission Ascension as well as DLSS support.

Crytek has not commented on the standalone expansion yet. It is safe to say that the title has not received the same treatment as other games.
