Just one glance at Kena: Bridge of Spirits reveals that it will be a fantastical adventure. This game, the first from Ember Labs, may look similar to a recent Dreamworks or Pixar film, but it is a fully playable experience. It wears its influences on its sleeve, referencing classic games to inspire its combat, exploration, and structure, while also weaving them all together in its own world and narrative. As a result, the experience feels like a well-polished game from the past, but it appears to be from the future.
Kena’s quest will take her across a vast world in search of a mountain shrine. She will undoubtedly face numerous challenges and obstacles along the way, as well as diversions. The various collectibles to uncover, such as the Spirit Mail items, are the most distracting of these distractions. These are hidden in places you wouldn’t expect to find them, and they’re kept in golden sacks. You can deliver these mystical messages to their recipients via the corresponding mailbox outside their houses for various rewards once they’ve been collected. There are only ten of them in total, but they’re quite difficult to locate. The Spirit Mail locations in Kena: Bridge of Spirits are listed below.
For each specific piece of Spirit Mail you need to find and deliver, we’ll break down the guide by location. The house you need to deliver the spirit mail to will be marked on your map for easy access once you have it. You’ll get the “The Last Stop” trophy when you deliver all of the messages, in addition to the treasures, hats, and other rewards you’ll get for each one you deliver successfully. So there are a few minor spoilers ahead.
This is the first piece of Spirit Mail, and it’s located in the heart of the village. Go up the stairs beside the hat vendor that leads to Taro’s Tree while standing in the Village Center area on the map. There will be a few houses here but look for the one with the boarded-up windows. Circulate around this one to find a large barrel you can drag over to a circle beside the house with your Rot. Once it’s been placed, use it to jump up and onto the roof, then down inside to a shelf in the corner, where you’ll find the glowing gold sack containing the Spirit Mail.
Spirit Mail #2: Rusu Mountain cliffs
You will have to climb up various parts of the terrain on your way to Rusu Mountain. Take the right side path you can shimmy across that leads around the cliff face and not into the cave once you come across two paths along some ledges before you hit the broken bridge. The Spirit Mail will be on a small ledge around the corner.
The quickest way to get to the next letter is to travel to the Forgotten Forest’s Water Shrine. Make sure the Water Shrine is clean when you arrive so you can use the Forest Tear to clean up the corruption around the back of the ruins to your right. This will give you access to a large stone slab that your Rot can move for you. Carry it back to the fast travel point and place it against a cracked wall next to a stack of hay. Climb to the top of your new platform, use the blue flower to teleport part of the way up, quickly spin around to see the second one you need to shoot, and then repeat the process one more time to reach a ledge high in the trees with the S.
Spirit Mail #4: The God Tree Shrine in Forgotten Forest
Begin your journey up to the God Tree Shrine in the Forgotten Forest by carefully navigating around some ledges. During this section, keep an eye on the bottom of the screen for a branch that you can use to get off the ledge. Use your arrow to teleport across the gap to the blue flower, then follow the path on this side. The sack containing the next Spirit Mail to deliver is at the end.
Spirit Mail #5: The Storehouse
Locate the house covered in Deadzone flowers in the middle of the Storehouse area. First, locate the glowing rocks on the ground outside that can be used to create platforms with a Spirit Bomb. Jump to your feet and throw a second bomb at the second set of rocks protruding from the wall. Continue climbing until you reach the Deadzone Heart, where you will encounter a few enemies. Remove the flowers and destroy it to gain access to the building. Now all you have to do is go inside and get the Spirit Mail.
Starting from the fast travel point, take the path on the left that runs along a cliff while exploring the Forge. Follow the path to an underground area by passing over some roots. Look up to find the glowing flower bud that can be hit with an arrow to create a Forest Tear, then use a Spirit Bomb on the rocks to finish the broken bridge. When the bridge is finished, use the Forest Tear to move a massive boulder off the side of the cliff, causing the water to rise. Swim over to the left side of the pool, toward the sun, down a path to the golden satchel.
Spirit Mail #7: Village Heart
Take the bridge with the Cursed Chest on it and head right to the decrepit house at the end of the non-underground section of Village Heart. This Spirit Mail is floating on a workbench inside.
Spirit Mail #8: The Village Heart cave
Now proceed to the underground cave entrance in Village Heart, but do not enter through the main entrance. Instead, look for a doorway on the left that leads to the light. When you’re outside, turn right and look for the breakable wall. To get to it, use your Spirit Bomb on the glowing rocks protruding from the wall to create a platform. Break the wall and a flower will appear, which you can use to teleport to, but be ready to leap to the ledge as soon as possible to avoid falling. Climb to the top, follow the path to the breakable wall, use your Spirit Bomb to destroy it, and reveal the collectible hidden behind it.
We’re back in the Village now, but this Spirit Mail requires the Dash ability, which you won’t get until you’ve completed all of the main missions in both the Fields and the Village Heart zones. Once you’ve mastered dash, head northwest of the Village centre to the Mask Maker path. Continue on this path until you reach a bridge surrounded by buildings. Keep an eye out for an arrow painted on the ground directing you to a specific doorway in the back of the buildings directly opposite the bridge. Follow the arrow’s instructions and climb the inside stairwell before jumping across the pit.
Teleport to the flower and follow the new path all the way to the top of the building from here. The penultimate Spirit Mail is sitting on a table next to the railing.
Spirit Mail #10: The Village Warrior Path
You must have unlocked the Dash ability to receive this final Spirit Mail. Go to the Warrior Path, which is southeast of the Village centre, with it. After passing through the docks, proceed through a series of portals until you reach the area where the Storehouse can be found. Climb up the platforms, pulling yourself to the top ledge, and drop a Spirit Bomb on some glowing rocks to reach a teleport flower.
Take this new path forward, but be prepared for a minor battle. Once the enemies have been defeated, dash through the portal into an open area where the Spirit Mail is floating alongside a treasure chest. You’ll unlock your “The Last Stop” trophy if you’ve completed all of them up to this point.
