Sable, an indie game focused on exploration, just launched, and if you’ve been cruising around its beautifully rendered world thinking to yourself, “This music is really cool! This is something I’d listen to for an entire album “You’ve come to the right place! The soundtrack for the game, composed by indie rock band Japanse Breakfast, is now available to listen to.
Michelle Zauner, singer, and songwriter for Japanese Breakfast, composing ambient music for the 32-song tracklist. The soundtrack is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Pandora, among other music streaming services. You can pre-order a physical vinyl of the album if you’re a vinyl collector. It comes as a 2-disc LP and offers both a standard edition for $20 and Sable-colored disc versions for $35. You can snag them at the band’s official merch store.
One of Sable’s best features is its soundtrack. Editor Jill Grodt gives the game an 8.75 out of 10 ratings, saying, “I can’t recommend Sable highly enough to those who enjoy exploring. Every element – stunning graphics, engrossing navigation, and a player-driven plot – works together to ensure that I am completely immersed in the world.” It’s available now on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC, as well as through Game Pass.
