Riot Games developed and published VALORANT, a free-to-play first-person tactical shooter. The competitive shooter has piqued the interest of many console players, with a peak of 14 million monthly active users, which leads us to the question of when Valorant will be released on Xbox.

Things are looking up at Riot Games, thanks to the huge success of Valorant over the last year. Several times during Q&A sessions, Riot developers stated that console releases would be considered.

With next-generation consoles now in customers’ hands and Valorant’s status as a top-tier competitive shooter, a game title on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles may be closer than we previously imagined.

Is Valorant coming to Xbox?

Some of the data points have previously been revealed to new platforms, such as the PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android, by intrepid data miners. Despite the fact that Valorant is currently a PC-only release as of October 2021, comments from one of the game’s creators suggest that console and mobile versions aren’t ruled out.

Although there has been no official statement from Riot Games, employees have strongly implied that the game will be released on consoles, which would include Xbox platforms. Regrettably, the developers have stated that a console port is not currently a top priority.

“We are definitely prototyping that right now,” Anna Donlon, Valorant’s executive producer, said in an interview with GameSpot. But there’s a way to play this game and a way to experience this game that we’re not sure completely translates to console play.”

Complications of Valorant console port

Valorant’s designers are concerned that with such a high level of competitive integrity, many players will be disappointed by unfair advantages. Valorant is primarily based on your aim, which can be complicated depending on the platform on which the user is using their controller.

There are numerous factors to consider, particularly when it comes to Valorant’s playable agents, which may or may not work well on consoles. It’s safe to assume that Valorant will only be released on Xbox consoles if the developers manage to perfect the game.

Riot Games is not willing to compromise the game’s quality or stability just to make it available on more platforms. If the company feels compelled to leave out any important aspects of the game, the idea will be completely dismissed.

There have been numerous statements, leaks, and news articles, but no official release date for the Valorant game on console has been set as of October 2021. But don’t give up hope! As Riot Games continues its console expansion, exciting times lie ahead – anything is possible.
