BLACK ADAM is currently in its final week of manufacturing after years of development. Dwayne Johnson plays Black Adam, a strong anti-hero who has been imprisoned for more than 5000 years and who gained his powers from the same ancient wizard who granted Shazam (Zachary Levi) his talents in the DC picture. Johnson moved to Instagram to post a fresh set photo with destruction and the best look at Black Adam’s outfit yet. Take a look at it below!
“From behind, this shot of Black Adam gives you a tactile sense of our film’s truly gigantic scale and immensity,” Johnson wrote. “You can also glimpse a little of Black Adam’s bodysuit’s unique and exquisite textured detail. (This isn’t your average padded muscle suit from DC or Marvel) Finally, you get a sight of the massive and fitting devastation. Superheroes, as we all know, follow a code of justice and do not kill evil guys. Black Adam, on the other hand, does.” Dwayne Johnson also recently tweeted an image of a “very cutting edge” shot, which he claims will be released soon. It appears that this scene will feature some extreme slow-motion. “This amazing robot arm called a BOLT,” Johnson explained.
In addition to Dwayne Johnson, the Justice Society will be introduced in Black Adam, with Noah Centineo cast as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate. Sarah Shahi will play “a university professor and freedom fighter commanding the resistance in Kahndaq,” and Marwan Kenzari will play a mysterious figure who is likely to be the major villain in Black Adam. The rest of the cast includes Mohammed Amer, James Cusati-Moyer, Uli Latukefu, and Bodhi Sabongui.
Black Adam is currently slated to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.
