The trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film Licorice Pizza is finally online, and it’s full of all the wonderful vibes we were hoping for after months of secret reveals and theatrical exclusive premieres. Cooper Hoffman, son of frequent PTA collaborator Philip Seymour Hoffman, co-stars in Licorice Pizza alongside Alana Haim (from the band Haim), Sean Penn, Bradley Cooper, Tom Waits, and Benny Safdie, co-director of Uncut Gems. The film Licorice Pizza will be released in theatres on November 26.

Licorice Pizza, like most Paul Thomas Anderson films, appears to be more concerned with the vibes of a time and place than with a specific plot. This time, it’s all about young love and maturation. Gary Valentine (Cooper Hoffman) meets his first love Alana Kane (Alana Haim) and the two of them explore the San Fernando Valley in 1973. Cooper, who is said to be playing Jon Peters, a hairdresser and longtime Hollywood character — who definitely wants you to know he’s dating Barbra Streisand — could be the trailer’s breakout star.

The entire trailer is underscored with David Bowie’s “Life on Mars?” to really bring the early ’70s vibes home, making it feel equal parts fun and melancholy. While this is a positive sign for Licorice Pizza’s soundtrack, Radiohead’s Johnny Greenwood is also set to compose the film’s score, following his work on Anderson’s previous four films.

Anderson, like most of the internet’s most popular filmmakers, is a staunch supporter of the theatrical experience, which is why he only showed the trailer for Licorice Pizza to a few select theatres in a few cities before releasing it online on Monday. Because he went to such great lengths just for the trailer, it’s no surprise that Licorice Pizza will only be available in theatres when it debuts in November.
