The Apex Legends servers are experiencing some issues, and a full fix may not be available for a few days. Despite improvements made late last week, Respawn says they’re still seeing “still seeing roughly three times the normal rate of disconnect errors” and “a full return to normal may take until our next planned patch on Sept 22.”
The current bout of instability began on September 14th.
For ranked competitive Apex players, that means another few days of uncertainty, as they must risk their rank if they want to play right now. A disconnect could cost you some points, and Respawn is unlikely to help. After bringing on some extra servers to alleviate the issue last week, they’re spending the weekend trying to fix it.

We'll extend the current ranked split by one week—that update will go live Monday.
One thing Respawn has done for ranked players is to extend the currently ranked split by one week. On September 20th, that update will be available. Representatives from Respawn have stated that the team is working “as quickly as we can” to resolve the problem.
