The horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II is finally available to view at home after a successful run in theatres. The horror film, which was produced by Paramount, is now available to view on Paramount Plus at any time.
The Abbott family is on the run from sound-sensing extraterrestrial invaders in A Quiet Place Part II, which picks up immediately after the events of the previous film. John Krasinski returns to direct the sequel, which stars Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy.
The film will be available on Paramount Plus after the end of Paramount’s new, shorter theatrical window, which requires films to wait at least 45 days between their theatrical release and their arrival on the streaming service. In the aftermath of the coronavirus outbreak, a few studios are experimenting with streaming distribution and theatrical exclusivity, and the industry move has forced theatre chains to renegotiate their windowing agreements to a shorter duration.
For the time being, it appears that users will only be able to watch the new horror film on Paramount Plus. Despite the fact that Paramount has previously sold multiple films to Netflix, A Quiet Place Part II is unlikely to appear on any streaming platforms other than Paramount Plus in the near future.
A Quiet Place Part II is available to all Paramount Plus customers, including those who subscribe to both the $4.99 ad-supported and $9.99 ad-free versions of the service.
